A woman recently opened a case of domestic violence against her 27-year-old boyfriend after he allegedly beat her.
The victim told officers at the Primrose Police Station that she had been at her friend’s house when her boyfriend came to fetch her.

“When they arrived home the man reportedly left to buy a cigarette and when he returned he demanded sex, which the victim refused.
“She allegedly told him she was too hungry for sex,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
He became angry and allegedly hit her with his fists and a stick.
“The victim was able to escape when she gave him money to buy more cigarettes,” said Maome.
She was taken to hospital for medical attention following the incident.

The man was arrested and held at the Primrose Police Station pending his appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
He has since appeared in court and his case was postponed for plea and trial.
