Parkhill Gardens’ Jordan Hughes (16) was recently selected as part of the Gauteng Lifesaving High-Performance Squad. She also recently participated in the South African National Lifesaving Championships in Port Elizabeth. Her photo was the most liked on Instagram.

School regathers and regroups after shocking break-in

The corridors, classrooms and fields of Laerskool Die President, in Fishers’ Hill, were left eerily quiet after a break-in and theft at the school. The children and teachers were sent home for a week as thieves made off with copper piping, taps and flushmasters.

Passenger dies in N3 highway crash in Germiston

A male passenger was killed instantly when the vehicle he was travelling in last Sunday rolled several times on the N3 South highway, at the Elands Interchange. The male driver and two female passengers were critically injured in the crash. After rolling, the vehicle came to rest in the middle island between the N3 South and Northbound carriageways.

Be alert and aware at all times, encourage police

Crime in Primrose continues to be of concern to the Primrose police, and the staff and management are appealing to the community to be alert and aware of their surroundings at all times.
