Twenty-six nabbed by Katlehong SAPS on Workers Day

Katlehong work hard to nab 26 suspects during Workers Day operations.

While many were enjoying some downtime on May 1, the Katlehong police were hard at work.

Through several operations conducted by officers from the Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit and detectives from the Katlehong Police Station 26 suspects were arrested.

The accused, who were aged between 21 and 44 years old, were charged with various offences.

Charges included:

Theft: 1

Rape: 1

Common assault: 3

Driving under the influence of alcohol: 1

Reckless and negligent driving: 1

Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 10

Possession of dagga: 9

The suspects were taken to the Katlehong Police Station.

They later appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
