Germiston FCS Unit investigates alleged kidnapping of 13-month-old in Alberton

The Germiston FCS (Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences) Unit together with the Brackendowns SAPS (in Alberton) were investigating the alleged kidnapping of 13-month-old Eden Laird.

Busy week for Germiston SAPS

According to the latest arrest statistics released by the Germiston Police Station, 91 suspects were arrested between April 22 and 29. The suspects were charged with various offences.

Update: Kidnapped baby Eden found and home safe

Thirteen-month-old Eden Laird, who was kidnapped last Wednesday, has been found and is safely home with his family. He was kidnapped in the Brackendowns, Alberton, area. Lt Col Jordaan was the cluster duty officer on duty and was tasked with the resolution of the kidnapping.

Update: Five suspects denied bail for kidnapping baby Eden

The five arrested for kidnapping baby Eden Laird (13 months) were denied bail in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court last Monday and are facing charges of schedule six kidnapping and blackmail.
