Students earn their Bible studies certificates

Fifty-four students have graduated from their Bible studies level one course at Independent Apostolic Church of God, in Motsamai Section, Katlehong.

The graduation ceremony took place at the church on Saturday, May 12.

Rev Anthony Mqaba, the facilitator and church leader, said the course was organised by World Hope Ministries under the leadership of Rev Willie Dangler from Katlehong.

“I am very excited that students managed to finish their course, which consisted of four modules over three months. The modules were Relationship with God, Fellowship with God, Responsibility to God and Accountability to God,” said Mqaba.

He added: “I am looking forward to working with the students again in level two, which will have two modules. I hope the students will continue to be good and work hard like they did in the previous level of study.

“The certificates issued are recognised worldwide as they are underwritten by Evangelical Bible College of Western Australia.”

Mqaba thanked Bishop Ellias Mokoena (tutor) and Julia Moloi (administration) for working hand in hand with him in conducting the lessons.

One of the graduates, Josephina Sigasa (58), was very pleased to receive her certificates.

“It was not easy to learn at our age. But because were divided into groups, it became easy as we managed to help each other,” said Sigasa.

She said these lessons helped to keep her busy.

“Not to mention the way they helped me to grow spiritually. I am now a new person,” said Sigasa.

She added: “The certificates are different from the ones that most of the churches give to their members just because they want to promote their churches. These certificates are genuine as they are issued by one of the biggest Bible colleges in the world.”

Another graduate, Mokgethi Tlaeli (53), said: “I wish more men would attend such classes because they would learn a lot about how to take care of their loved ones. Even abuse can be decreased.”

Tlaeli was also a monitor.

The students’ ages ranged from 21 to 75.

The church and the venue for training is 576 Motsamai Section, Katlehong.
