The metro recently launched the Siyaqhuba Service Delivery Programme for Germiston, as well as Title Deeds Friday by handing out 753 title deeds to Daveyton residents.
Title Deeds Friday was introduced by the mayor of the metro Clr Mzwandile Masina to address the backlog of handing over title deeds.
The programme will go together with the Siyaqhuba Service Delivery Programme, which will focus mainly on the Germiston CBD and Dukathole.
“Through Siyaqhuba the metro will fix underground water leaks and address the chemical toilet issues in Dukathole.
“Other issues to be addressed by the Siyaqhuba team are illegal dumping and sidewalk reinstatement,” said Themba Gadebe, spokesperson for the metro.
