Seven suspects were arrested in Katlehong last Tuesday.
The arrests were made during a daily stop-and-search operation held by officers from the Katlehong police’s Crime Prevention Unit.

The accused were charged with various offences.
Charges included:
• Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 1
• Arson: 1
• Theft: 2
• Possession of dagga: 3

The arrested suspects were taken to the Katlehong Police Station, pending their appearance in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court.
Katlehong SAPS acting station commander, Col Nomthandeki Mthembu commended the officers for their hard work and encouraged them to continue in their efforts to curb crime in their precinct.
