Twenty-two suspects nabbed in a week

The Primrose police share their latest arrest statistics.

Twenty-two suspects were arrested by the Primrose police between July 19 and 25.

This is according to the latest arrest statistics released by the Primrose Police Station.

The accused were arrested for a number of different offences.

Charges included possession of drugs, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, statutory rape, rape, driving under the influence of alcohol, theft, malicious damage to property and contempt of court.

The Primrose SAPS station commander, Col Albertina Vesi, thanked everyone who contributed to the successful arrests.

Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court where some had their cases postponed for various reasons while others paid admission of guilt fines and were released.
