Your health is your wealth

Motsamai Clinic will host a Health Awareness Open Day to remind residents of the importance of investing in their health and using the many clinical services available to them on August 7.

Themba Gadebe, the spokesperson of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality, said health practitioners will use the opportunity to share health tips and break communication barriers by taking suggestions and address any complaints from residents. This is to improve patients’ wellness and create a friendly environment at the facility.

“As part of World Breastfeeding Week celebrated annually from August 1 to 7, health practitioners will also interact with moms and dads about the importance and benefits of breast milk for their growing babies,” said Gadebe.

“Health screenings for ailments and conditions such as HIV, blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol, cervical cancer and prostate cancer will be conducted on the day.”

The event will take place at Tsholo Hall, Katlehong, from 9am until 2pm.
