A 20-year-old man was arrested by the Primrose police, last Thursday, on a charge of possession of suspected stolen property.
The arrest was made after police received a tip-off from the community that the suspect was selling tools, believed to be stolen.

Officers raced to the Makause informal settlement where they found the accused.
“Detectives recognised the man from CCTV footage.
“In the footage, a junior primary school was broken into and school tools were stolen,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
The man was searched and officers found a drill machine, gas bottle, DC inverter, spanners and loose sockets in his possession.

He was arrested and taken to the Primrose Police Station.
He has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court where his case was postponed for plea and trial.
