Busy week for Germiston SAPS

Germiston police share their arrest statistics.

According to the latest arrest statistics released by the Germiston Police Station, 72 suspects were arrested between August 20 and 27.

The accused were arrested for various offences, including:

•Driving under the influence of alcohol: 17

•Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 2

•Theft: 1

•Fraud: 4

•Theft of a motor vehicle: 1

•Reckless and negligent driving: 2

•Common assault: 2

•Possession of drugs: 5

•Possession of suspected stolen property: 4

•House break-in: 2

•Dealing in liquor without a licence: 1

•Attempted murder: 2

•Armed robbery: 1

All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
