A stop-and-search operation, conducted by officers from Katlehong SAPS’ Crime Prevention Unit and Visible Policing Unit, yielded positive results.
The operation, which was held last Tuesday, lead to the arrest of five suspects.

The accused were charged with various offences.
Charges included assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, malicious damage to property, theft and rape.
All arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court where their cases were postponed for various reasons.

The station will continue to conduct similar operations throughout their policing precinct.
