The Katlehong police continued their efforts to curb crime in their precinct with a stop-and-search operation.
The operation, held last Monday, was conducted by officers from the Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit and led to the arrest of nine suspects.

The accused were charged with a number of different offences.
Charges included assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, crimen injuria and possession of drugs (including dagga and nyaope).
The arrested suspects were taken to the Katlehong Police Station.

They have since appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
