Enjoy a family day at Kiddies Rainbow Festival

The annual Kiddies Rainbow Festival will be held at Vosloorus Stadium on September 29.
The newly established project is solely to bring all ages together through a fun-filled and musical experience.
Katleho Mhlanga, the event organiser and the founder of Umkhonto Young Lions, said they have created a similar event for the charity last year, Isipho Sethu Special School, which takes place on September 22 in Vosloorus.

“After that, the organisation managed to pull a crowd of 6 000 people at the main event which took place the following day on September 23. This year we are aiming to pull a crowd attendance of 7 000 or even 10 000 people. We took into account that Vosloorus does not organise functions which have a positive impact on the community, so we as a newly established non-profit organisation aim to direct things in a new direction,” said Mhlanga.

“The aim of organising such an event is to invite youth to showcase their talents and have fun, as well as have fun while playing on the jumping castle, spending time with clowns and magicians, stilts walkers and mascots on the day.
“There will be a time during the main event where we will give thanks to everyone who attended. We will make the day a success by organising different famous and upcoming artists. The people we worked with and everyone, including the community, will be appreciated,” concludes Mhlanga.
