While many of us were enjoying the long weekend, the Katlehong police were hard at work.
Through a number of operations, conducted by members of the Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit, held between September 21 and 24, the team arrested 25 suspects for various crimes.

The suspects were charged with a number of different crimes including attempted rape, theft, common robbery, possession of suspected stolen property, common assault, domestic violence, dealing in liquor without a licence, armed robbery, house break-in and theft, malicious damage to property, theft of a motor vehicle, reckless and negligent driving, intimidation, possession of drugs and driving under the influence of alcohol.

EMPD officers, who assisted in the weekend’s operations, also issued a number of fines to motorists.
All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
