Twenty-five suspects were arrested for various offences in Katlehong last weekend.
The arrests were made during a number of different operations conducted by officers from the Katlehong police’s Crime Prevention Unit, with the help of the EMPD, between October 26 and 28.

Charges included:
• Murder: 2
• Kidnapping: 2
• Common assault: 3
• Dealing in dagga: 1
• House robbery: 1
• Shoplifting: 1
• Contempt of court: 1
• Assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 1
• Driving under the influence of alcohol: 13

Katlehong SAPS acting station commander Col Nomthandeki Mthembu was impressed with the weekend arrests and encouraged the team to continue their hard work.
All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
