Nine suspects were arrested in Katlehong last Tuesday.
The arrests were made during a daily stop-and-search operation conducted by officers from the Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit with the help of detectives from the Katlehong Police Station.

The accused were charged with several different offences.
Charges included rape, malicious damage to property, theft, assault and interference with police duties.
All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
