The Primrose police recently arrested a 19-year-old man.
The man was charged with rape after he allegedly raped a nine-year-old girl in Oak Avenue, Primrose.
The crime was reported to police by the victim’s mother.

“The mother told officers that she became suspicious when her daughter kept visiting the bathroom.
“When she asked her what the problem was the child said she was not feeling well,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
When the mother asked why she wasn’t feeling well the young girl alleged that one of the men who had come to the house had put his penis inside her vagina.
“When the mother asked her why she did not tell her sooner the child said she was scared.
“The child further alleged that this had happened more than once,” said Maome.

Police traced the suspect and he was arrested and taken to the Primrose Police Station, pending his appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
