I would like to take this opportunity to thank my colleagues in the firefighting fraternity for the wonderful job they did in Dunswart, Boksburg, Ekurhuleni, in November. The chemical factory that was vigorously burning was skilfully handled, and the structure adjacent to the burning chemical workshop was well protected. The Tactical team averted a catastrophe while working in a highly dangerous environment that contained hundreds of litres of sulphuric acid, hydrochloric acid and a range of other corrosive and flammable chemicals. You guys did a wonderful job. I am proud of you all. The coordination and teamwork within the unit won at the end of the day. Keep up the good work!
