Man shot and killed in Katlehong’s Mngadi Section

Katlehong police appeal to community to come forward with information on Mngadi Section murder.

Katlehong police rushed to a shooting in progress in the Mngadi Section of Katlehong, last Friday.

When they arrived on the scene they found a man lying in a pool of blood with several bullet wounds to his upper body.

“The deceased was shot while driving and lost control of his vehicle, a green Toyota, which crashed into a wall,” said Const Sivenkosi Mtwa, communications officer for the Katlehong police.

Paramedics were called to the scene where they declared the victim dead.

It is alleged the suspects followed the victim, who was alone in the vehicle, for some time before they opened fire.

“The suspects disappeared after the shooting,” said Mtwa.

“The motive for the killing is unknown at this stage and police are investigating a case of murder.”

No arrests have been made.

The police are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
