Germiston SAPS celebrate successes

Germiston police share their arrest statistics.

According to the latest arrest statistics released by the Germiston Police Station, 42 suspects were arrested between January 29 and February 4.

The accused were arrested for various offences, including:

• Shoplifting: 3

• House break-in: 3

• Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 3

• Malicious damage to property: 4

• Business robbery: 2

• Theft: 9

• Reckless and negligent driving: 1

• Possession of drugs: 7

• Possession of suspected stolen property: 2

• Rape: 1

• Public violence: 5

• Crimen injuria: 2

Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons, while others paid an admission of guilt fines before being released.
