Katlehong North SAPS arrests 33 suspects

Katlehong North police arrested 33 suspects in various weekend operations.

The Katlehong North SAPS Vispol members and detectives from the Katlehong North Police Station conducted several operations in their precinct, last weekend.

The operations were deemed as a success as they led to the arrest of 33 suspects.

The accused were charged with various offences.

Charges included dealing in drugs, domestic violence, possession of dagga, fraud, business robbery, possession of suspected stolen goods, theft, criminal injuria, armed robbery, sexual assault, malicious damage to property, common assault and assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

During the operations, a 39-year-old man was arrested for possession of live ammunition, after 15 rounds of live ammunition were found in his possession.

Katlehong North SAPS station commander Col Reginah Rampota congratulated the team following the arrests and encouraged the community to get involved in the fight against crime.

All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
