Wian sets the piano keys alight
Wian Visser’s musical dreams are starting to take shape.
Young pianist Wian Visser from Primrose got the chance to fulfil his dream of sharing the stage with his musical idol recently.
Wian, the winner of the Afrikaans.com #droomgroot18 talent competition (GCN, December 14, 2018), was thrilled to join well-known pianist Rocco de Villers on stage at the Atterbury Theatre in Pretoria.
The competition required high school children to send in videos of their talents, along with a motivational letter.
In his letter the self-taught pianist expressed the wish for a keyboard, saying that it would help him greatly in his music career.

At the special performance with Rocco, Wian was presented with a keyboard sponsored by Musica Instruments and Kawai Pianos.
Pieter van der Berg from Musica Instruments handed over his prize with some motivational words for the young man.
Wian was dressed by Klerekas.com for the event.
The concert went so well that Wian has been invited to play with Rocco in Rocco’s show Wat om te dra agter op ’n bakkie at KKNK on March 21.
