Eskom implemented Stage Two rotational loadshedding from 8am today (Friday).
Loadshedding is expected to continue until 11pm tonight.
This is a result of a shortage of generating capacity.

Customers are reminded to treat all electrical points as live during loadshedding.
Stage Two calls for 2 000MW to be rotationally loadshed nationally at a given period.
Loadshedding is conducted rotationally as a measure of last resort to protect the power system from a total collapse or blackout.
Eskom appeals to residents and businesses to use electricity sparingly during this period.
Switch off all geysers, as well as non-essential lighting and electric appliances to assist in reducing demand.
