During a crime prevention stop-and-search operation, last Monday, Katlehong police arrested six suspects.
The operation was conducted by members of the Katlehong SAPS Crime Prevention Unit with the help of detectives from the Katlehong Police Station.
The accused were charged for a number of different offences.

Charges included:
• Assault with the intent to grievous bodily harm: 2
• Warrant of arrest: 1
• Malicious damage to property: 1
• Theft: 1
• Driving under the influence of alcohol: 1

All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for a number of different reasons.
Katlehong SAPS acting station commander Col Doctor Sibuyi called for the community to report crimes and criminal activities in the area, without fear that they will be targeted by the offenders.
