Five suspects were nabbed in Katlehong last Monday during a crime prevention stop-and-search operation.
The operation was conducted by members of the Katlehong SAPS Crime Prevention Unit.
The accused were charged with various offences.

Charges included:
• Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 2
• Rape: 1
• Business robbery: 1
• Common assault: 1

Katlehong SAPS station commander Brig Sammy Tambo sent a plea to residents living in hostels to come forward with information on suspects who are terrorising and killing people in the hostels throughout Katlehong.
All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for different reasons.
