After receiving a tip-off from the community, last Tuesday, officers from the EMPD’s Intelligence Unit pounced on two alleged drug dealers.

The suspects, a 27-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, were arrested at a house in Phoku, in Katlehong North on a charge of dealing in drugs.
During a search of the property officers found Mandrax tablets, nyaope and R1 070 in cash.
Katlehong North SAPS station commander Col Reginah Rampota congratulated the officers involved in the arrests.
“It is imperative that we remove these illicit drugs from the streets,” Rampota said.

The accused were taken to the Katlehong North Police Station where they were formally charged.
