Officers from the Katlehong SAPS Crime Prevention Unit arrested three suspects during a stop-and-search operation, last Monday.
The operation was part of the police’s ongoing efforts to reduce crime in the area.

The accused were arrested for various offences.
Charges included assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault and warrant of arrest.
All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for a number of different reasons.

Katlehong SAPS station commander Brig Sammy Thambo urged the community to get involved in the fight against crime and reminded residents their help is vital to police.
