A 26-year-old man was arrested by the Primrose police on Wednesday on a charge of malicious damage to property.
The complainant alleged that she had parked her motor vehicle inside a garage on Senator Road in Malvern East.

She then used her husband’s car to go to work.
“Reportedly, when her husband used the vehicle to visit his brother, he noticed a scratch on the front of the vehicle,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officers for the Primrose police.
“He phoned his wife to ask if she knew about the scratch and she did not.”

The complainant later asked her son if he knew anything about the damage to the vehicle.
“He initially denied knowing about the damage but later allegedly admitted that he had damaged the vehicle,” said Maome.
A case was opened against the accused and he was arrested.
He has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where his case was postponed for plea and trial.
