Germiston residents struggle through the darkness

Many Germiston residents have been left in the darkness once again. Over the past few weeks, many suburbs in Germiston have once again been plagued with outages, with a number of residents having reported outages lasting days at a time – with no feedback from the metro on the cause or when power will be restored.

Update: Power should be restored to all affected areas – says councillor

Following a meeting with the HOD for Energy. Mark Wilson, on Wednesday, Ward 39 Clr Alta de Beer, announced that power to most of the affected areas in Germiston should have been restored.

Seventy suspects nabbed for various crimes in Germiston

The Germiston SAPS arrested 70 suspects in connection with different crimes that happened within their precinct between June 18 to 24.

Residents still sleepless due to blaring music from informal settlements

Residents of Primrose are at the end of their tethers with regards to the continual blaring music from taverns in the informal settlements over the weekends.

In the coming weeks, public universities and private institutions across South Africa will host a series of open days – events meant to showcase their offerings to prospective students from the matric class of 2019.
