Several suburbs in Germiston are still without electricity this morning (Tuesday).
It is reported that the power went off on Monday night at approximately 10pm, due to Eskom equipment failure.

Ward 36 councillor Wendy Morgan explained the affected areas include, but are not limited to, Germiston CBD, Wychwood, Driehoek, Elandshaven, Gosforth Park, Castleview, Dinwiddie, Hazel Park, Primrose, Lambton and Mimosa Park.
“The power came on briefly early this morning, but is off again,” Morgan said.
The metro has confirmed that Eskom technicians are on site and power should be restored after 9am.
