Empilisiwe High receives special visit

Learners taught more about bullying, theft, gangsterism, drug trafficking, teenage pregnancy and other issues affecting their community.

A team from the Katlehong North Police Station recently made an early visit to Empilisiwe High School in Katlehong.

During the visit officers, from the Katlehong North police’s Social Crime Prevention Unit taught the learners about bullying, theft, gangsterism, drug trafficking, teenage pregnancy and other issues affecting their community.

The children were also taught more about substance abuse and the effects thereof, and were encouraged to report any unlawful and suspicious activities they witness at school to their teachers or the police.

Before leaving, the team handed out safety tip pamphlets to the learners and teachers.
