“Hence, the theme.

“We want these women to be able to have their businesses so they can empower children, especially the children we worked with as an organisation. The organisation takes care of orphans from the ages of zero to 18 years.

“We give the children educational support and parental care.

“We have 100 families under our care, with 156 children.

“We are hoping that when these women leave here today, they’ll be able to focus on opening their businesses.”

Nomkhosi Ntombela, one of the guardians of children under the organisation, said: “This organisation takes children off the streets. As guardians, we get to benefit in terms of food parcels in this high unemployment rate we are faced with. The organisation helps our children with homework and such.”

Ntombela said she is grateful to the organisation as they encourage children to do better.

“I have learnt a lot today. I have learnt that as a woman you need to be a pillar, you need not to give up and also be optimistic about life,” concluded Ntombela.
