Join the SPCA’s committee in the fund-raising and marketing portfolio
The Germiston SPCA is looking for a special person to join the management committee team.
The fund-raising and marketing portfolio on the management committee of the Germiston and Bedfordview SPCA is vacant.
The management committee is comprised of members of public, who are voluntarily responsible for the governance and management of the SPCA.
It is in essence similar to the governing body of a school.
The committee is in need of a passionate animal lover to take on the portfolio and make the Germiston SPCA fly.
Responsibilities include:
• Active involvement at the society.
• Coordination of all fund-raising activities on a regular basis.
• Implementation of marketing strategies, together with the social media team, and the liaison and community engagement portfolios.
• Coordination of donation tins at various sites.
• Partake in management discussions and decisions of the society.
• Attend monthly management meetings and correspond via email and cellphone on a regular basis.

Interaction with the animals is not necessary.

Previous fund-raising and/or marketing experience in an animal welfare organisation, non-profit organisation or the private sector would be appreciated.
You do not have to reside in Germiston or Bedfordview.
The closing date for applications is September 17.
Fund-raising is one of the Germiston SPCA’s biggest responsibilities and the society relies on the support of the community.
