While on patrol in Wadeville, last Monday, Elsburg SAPS Vispol support members received a tip-off about copper cable theft in Dekema Road.

“Upon arrival on the scene the complainant told police that the suspect was allegedly found with 4.5kg of copper in a box,” said Const Daphney Phooko, communications officer for the Primrose police.
The man was arrested on a charge of theft of copper cable.
“Police confiscated the copper,” said Phooko.

The suspect will appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon.
