Balwin Properties Ltd, its suppliers and supporters, are targeting a record-breaking R2.5-million total donation to 30 charities at the 2019 #BalwinCharityWalk.
The company prides itself on giving back to the communities in which it operates.
Through the annual Balwin Charity Walk, the developer strives to donate much-needed funds to various charities selected as beneficiaries of the event.
This year marks the 12th anniversary of the Balwin Charity Hat Walk in Johannesburg on December 1, the sixth walk in Cape Town on November 24 and the second walk in KwaZulu-Natal on November 17.
Last year saw over 4 000 people attending the walks and just over R2.1-m was handed out to a total of 19 charities.
As a company with a focus on uplifting local communities and staff with a heart that supports this vision, the event serves as Balwin’s annual year-end function.
Employees, supporters, friends, family and dogs all participate in the fun Christmas walk wearing the themed Charity Walk T-shirt which serves as entry to the walk.
This year the Charity Walk logo ties in with Balwin’s emphasis on going green, through its record-breaking Edge listing, together with the recently announced Green bonds, Balwin is dedicated to making a sustainable impact on the environment.
