Man nabbed in Spruitview allegedly with nyaope

EMPD brings another alleged drug dealer to book.

Members of the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit (EMPD DEU) stopped and searched a suspicious-looking youngster, last Friday, at 8.30am.

The search took place in Lapologa Street, in Spruitview, and the officers allegedly discovered narcotics in his possession.

The EMPD members confiscated nine knotted plastic bags of nyaope valued at R900 from the 21-year-old man.

He was arrested and taken to the Katlehong Police Station and charged with possession of and possible dealing in illicit substances.

The man is due to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court soon.
