After leaving his Marlands home, recently, to go to a nearby car wash, a Second Avenue homeowner received a call from a friend.
“The complainant told police that his friend informed him that his house had been broken into,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
The man rushed home to find his garage door had been forced open.

“He claimed car parts valued at R131 000 had been taken from the garage,” said Maome.
“He immediately reported the matter to police.”
A 24-year-old man was arrested in connection with the crime.
He was charged with house break-in and theft.
The suspect was taken to the Primrose Police Station, where he will be held pending his appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
