Arrests made in Operation Okae Molao

Several suspects arrested for various offences in Katlehong.

The Katlehong police have launched Operation Okae Molao ahead of the festive season.

Officers from the station made several arrests, last Thursday, as part of the operations.

The arrests included a suspect arrested on a charge on dealing in dagga and possession of suspected stolen property.

He was allegedly found with 289 packets of dagga, R321.50 in cash, an amplifier and two speakers.

Eighteen allegedly illegal immigrants were also arrested by officers during the operation and 999 people searched in the Katlehong area.

During the operation the EMPD issued 16 traffic and other violation tickets and searched 446 vehicles, impounding one.
