A 24-year-old man was recently arrested by the Primrose police on a charge of business break-in and theft.
The arrest was made after a Shamrock Road business owner reported the alleged break-in to the police.

“The complainant alleged that he closed his shop for the night and when he returned the next morning he found the lock had been broken and the door forced open,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
“When he inspected the shop, he discovered several items had been stolen, including a laptop, TV, a travelling bag and a pair of shoes all to the value of R50 000.”

Following a short investigation, the suspect was arrested and held at the Primrose Police Station.
He has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
