In a bid to replenish emergency reserves and due to a shortage of generating capacity Eskom will once again be implementing loadshedding.
This after a weekend of loadshedding.
However, today only stage one loadshedding will be implemented from 9am.
Eskom has not stated when this will continue until, and instead said in a statement that an update regarding the loadshedding prognosis for the remainder of the week would be provided at a later stage.

The power utility appeals to residents and businesses to use electricity sparingly during this period.
• Switch off geysers over peak periods.
• Use the cold water tap rather than using hot water every time.
• Set your swimming pool pump cycle to run twice a day, three hours at a time for optimal energy use.
• At the end of the day, turn off computers, copiers, printers and fax machines at the switch. Avoid stand-by or sleep mode.
