Congratulations on your Kilimanjaro climb.

Anton and I, sitting at the top of the nearby Suikerbosch Mountain outside Kathorus discussing preparations for our epic journey to the peak of the highest mountain range on the African continent, the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in Arusha, Tanzania.

As salaam wa aleikum wa rahmat allah.

I was amazed at how many people were climbing the mountain at the same time. And I was amazed too, but not surprised, by the difficulty of the task and the extremely challenging conditions.

I am glad that you decided to turn back rather than risk your health and well-being. It was challenge enough to get that far, and I certainly would not have coped as well as you did. But I am so happy that you came back safe and sound, and that you had the chance to realise a dream and stretch yourself to your limits.
