Two found with allegedly stolen property

The Primrose police apprehended two suspects on a charge of possession of suspected stolen property.

While on patrol in Primula Road in Primrose last Monday, officers from the Primrose Police Station noticed a truck parked next to the side of the road.

As they approached the truck, which was covered with black cover, they heard a noise.

“Upon further investigation the officers realised that the truck’s battery was missing,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

“Police also noted two men running away from the truck, carrying something.

“The men ran towards Beaconsfield Avenue and police gave chase.”

The suspects were arrested on a charge of possession of suspected stolen property.

They have since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where their case was postponed for plea and trial.
