Young cricketers invited to ICC U-19 World Cup opening game

According to Nino Ndaba, mini cricket coach at the school, this is an opportunity of a lifetime for the children to be exposed to this high level of cricket.

Young cricketers from Sonqoba Primary School in Katlehong were granted an opportunity by Eastern Cricket League to become anthem children during the opening of ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup game between South Africa and Afghanistan at the Willowmoore Cricket Stadium in Benoni on February 5.

“I think being there on the same field with their favourite stars will motivate them to take the sport very seriously as their stars will share with them all the benefits of being a cricket player,” said Ndaba.
