In an effort to curb crime in their precinct Katlehong police took to the streets to conduct a stop-and-search operation last Tuesday.
The operation was carried out by officers from the Katlehong Police Station’s Crime Prevention Unit and detectives from the Katlehong Police Station.

The accused were arrested for various offences.
Charges included assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, malicious damage to property, business burglary, possession of suspected stolen property, dealing in drugs, shoplifting and possession of drugs.
All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
Katlehong SAPS acting station commander Col Phakama Gcaza is keen to get rid of drug dealers within the community and asks residents of Katlehong to assist by reporting criminal activity.
