CPF engages with community during mass visibility patrol
Din-Al-View CPF introduces Navic Cloud technology to the community.
The Din-Al-View CPF hosted a mass visibility patrol in sector five of the Germiston police precinct last Saturday.
The event was coordinated by Shane Phillips, head patroller for the Din-Al-View CPF, who was instrumental in securing the participation of Fidelity ADT and Lambton Tactical Response, as well as neighbouring CPFs from Delville and Alberton.
“Special thanks go out to The Reef Shopping Centre for providing us with a rendezvous point, as well as the SAPS and Navic Cloud for honouring us with their participation,” said Phillips.
Vaughn Jones, chairperson of the Din-Al-View CPF, said, “Navic Cloud brings us advanced vehicle analytics technology, and we are excited to collaborate with them and work towards bringing their technology into our police precinct.
“I urge the community to work with us to make this project a reality.”

The patrol was organised to reinforce the CPF visibility in the sector, introduce the Navic Cloud mobile unit to the area and engage with the community.
“With the participation of the SAPS, we are proud to have made three arrests on the day,” said Phillips.
The Din-Al-View CPF is aware that some community members don’t feel the need to report certain crimes to the SAPS.
Community members are urged to report all incidents of crime to the SAPS and to further engage with the CPF on these matters.
