New chief superintendents for the EMPD

The promotion was made official at the EMPD’s Head Office in Kempton Park.

The Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) promoted seven superintendents to chief superintendents on April 1.

“The head of department, Jabulani Isaac Mapiyeye, and his management team deployed the four male and three female commanders, with 15 to 26 years of experience, accordingly,” said EMPD spokesperson Kobeli Mokheseng.

“Three will be reporting in the east, two in the southern region and two are retained in the Specialised Services Division.

“All the appointees promoted are from within the EMPD.

“They all have been taken through intensive and rigorous training to enhance their managerial, technical and communication skills in preparation for their new duties.”
