Suspect moves allegedly takes complainant’s vehicle with him

Primrose police arrest suspect on a charge of use of a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent.

A 26-year-old man was arrested by the Primrose police last Monday in Sunnyridge.

The suspect was arrested on a charge of use of a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent.

Police were alerted to the crime by the vehicle’s owner who reported that the suspect had taken the car to repair its hooter and wipers.

“When she went to collect the vehicle she discovered the suspect had moved and taken her vehicle with him,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

“Officers from the Primrose Police Station were able to trace and arrest the suspect.”

He was detained at the station pending his appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
