Officers were alerted to the crime by a local security officer after an alarm went off at the shop.

“When police arrived on scene they could reportedly hear noises coming from inside the shop and suspected there might be people inside,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

“They tried to call the suspects outside, but they refused to come out.

“Officers called for back-up on the radio before entering the shop, where they found the suspects hiding in a corner.”
