Nkabti inspiring others through her life

She said women can achieve a lot if they can support each other more.

We continue to celebrate and honour women in the month of August.

Nkabati Shezi is a mother of three and a beacon of hope to young girls.

The Primrose resident is passionate about helping and guiding young girls.

Her support group Girl 2 Woman is all about assisting young girls in their every day challenges and to help them transition into womanhood.

“I never had someone guiding me in the world that can make you doubt your beauty. It becomes even more difficult for a young woman to face a society which does not aim to inspire or love yourself,” said Nkabati, who has also just made the top 50 of Mrs South Africa.

“To me this journey is to inspire the girls and other women to reach for their dreams,” said Nkabati.

“The struggles I have come across my life don’t define me. They were life lessons.”

She said women can achieve a lot if they can support each other more.

“I have met women who have helped me on this journey and I’m grateful for them. They made me strong. They encourage me to get out of my comfort zone,” said Nkabati.

“I now know my self-worth as I have rediscovered myself.”
